ronald menelaws ronald maggie ronald was born in 1866 in glasgow. she worked as a domestic servand in edinburgh around 1890. she had a son ronald menelaws ronald in 1894, who was illegitimate, and married a john stevenson ritchie in 1896 in glasgow. In the 1901 census they have three daughters but no mention of ronald menelaws ronald. I know he becomes an engineer in the army and married an indian lady in burma. they had a son (my father) in 1930 and died later that year. Where was he between birth and going to burma? Where can i find the records of orphanages? Would appreciate some advice as i have hit a brick wall |
