Thomas Darrell - Catherine Tompkins Desperate to find a link from Catherine Tompkins into Ireland. Her father was Denis Tompkins and the family are said to be from Wexford originally. They moved to middlesbrough area where a young Catherine married Thomas Darrell (Daddle on the marriage certificate - what a find that was!) in 1887. I also believe she lied about her age to marry, if that's possible? Thomas is my great grandfather b.apx 1869 and I have details of his father Mark Darrell b. apx 1830 but nothing further back than that. I am in Australia so am a tad limited in my scope of investigations. Mark was a policeman in Middlesbrough and married Sarah Hughes in 1858. They had five children before his death at age 39 in the North Riding Asylum. Sarah re-married John Stones sometime in the mid 1860's and they had two more children. Thomas had siblings Willilam, John, George and Johanna Darrell and then Mary Jane and Samuel Stones. Any info, history or links would make my day. Cheers, Sally
