My father, Narcisco Franzinelli, (20.9.1896 Molina di Ledro Italy - 7.9.1973 Perth, W. Australia) went to the USA early in the 20th century to earn money with his brother to pay a family debt-home in Molina? Later returned to Italy and then came out to WA. Had a farm up near Morowa /Mullewa /Three Springs ? (Once got a lift with Sir David Brand ) Where during the Depression, he finally walked off the farm as he was offered less for a bag of wheat than he had paid for the empty bag. he then went into a partnership in a gold mine. When they struck gold, one day he was down the mine when he said a container of rocks hit him on his head. He preferred to sell his share to his partner rather than lose his life.With this money he returned to Italy married Mum, Noemi Zendri,( 20.5.1910, Molina - 25.10.2001, Perth) in 1937. Later they came to WA in 1947, (to join his younger brother Guerrino and partner Caterina Valenti and their daughter Flora ) with sons Carlo, Alfonso and Dario ( Jo ) . Later I was born in Perth. |
