Thomas Cowin (born c 1781) of Lonan, Isle of Man Thomas Cowin married Margaret Karran at Lonan on 26 Jan 1806 and they had children Thomas (born 1806, Philip (1809), Jane (1811), John (1815), Jane (1817), William (1818) and James (1821), all at Lonan and probably at Ballgawne near Baldrine village. My ancestor Philip married Margaret Garrett in April 1843 at Lonan and had children Thomas, Margaret, William and Catherine Jane. All emigrated to Australia around 1851 or 2. I would like any information on the early Cowin, Garrett or Karran families and would be happy to provide info on the Cowin story Downunder. Cheers! Ross of Canberra
