I am researching the life of Thomas Setterington who was killed at Rossignol Woods in 1917 whilst serving with the Bradford Pals battalian. His father was Thomas Adam Setterington (b 1859) and his mother was Sarah Ann from Tadcaster. In 1881 they were registered as 20 and 22 and married and living in Railway Road Hambleton (Selby). Though registered as a farm labourer in 1881 I think that Thomas Adam and Sarah Ann became the licensee of the Hare and Hounds pub in Stutton near Tadcaster (named in Kelly's directories for early 20th century as such). Any furtehr info welcome e.g. Sarh's maiden name, date of wedding, iother children etc etc Thnaks Greg |
