Hi My name is Christine and I am trying to find information on my grandmother Mary Agnus Mitchell, born in England somwhere in 1901. I believe her grandparents rared her around West Hartleypool. Mary's grandmother worked most of her life as a ticket collector at West Hartleypool Station. My grandmother had sisters though I can only remember her calling one sister 'Babs' and another Ned or Nelly. I know one of her sisters married into the Braithwaites as I have a second cousin by that surname. Unfortunately we don't speak after my grandmothers passing so I am unable to find out any information there. My grandmother moved to Australia around 1920's.Met a gentlman during the war but never married, he went back to England. My grandmother gave birth to twins, one male, my father (now deceased 20 yrs) and one daughter who I believe died at birth or shortly afterwards.Any information would be appreciated. Thankyou. |
