William Ellis married Sarah Miller in the 1840s. He was a blacksmith. Later they ventured across to France -to what is now Le Havre- and had a son there, before returning to the Birmingham area. Why did he go to France and take his wife with him? He later settled in South Wales and we've kept track of him there----but why le havre in the 1840s????????????
