I have a Phoebe Williams born 1894 Swinton, Manchester, on the 1901 census. Could anyone have a look and tell me if Phoebe is the daughter of Thomas and Phoebe or granddaughter. Just can't make out what it say's. many thanks Rhonda

i couldn't find a Phoebe Williams born 1894 Swinton, Manchester

I believe it's grandaughter. There's a married son Billy and married daughter Thirza linked together with arrows. I think Thirza should be daughter-in-law and Phoebe is probably their daughter. Incidentally it says she's born Pendlebury. Update the surname is Williams. The census taker started to write Grandaughter for the surname, erased it and changed it to 'do' for ditto.
