Member Since: December 2005 Posts: 40 Send Message	My great grandfather's sister Elizabeth Jane CLATWORTHY (born 1843) went to live in France sometime after 1861. I haven't found any marriage or death records for her in England but I wondered if anyone had any access to French records and if there is any record of her there. Thank you, Julia

	The problem is, French records are held by the various areas, rather than nationally, so you would need to know where she went, really.

Member Since: December 2005 Posts: 40 Send Message	Thanks Ann, Unfortunately I don't know where about in France Elizabeth went. All I know is that she is not on the censuses after 1861 and that her father's will refers to the fact that she 'now lives in France'.
