Mary A Hull Age: 22 Estimated birth year: abt 1849 Relation: Wife Spouse's name: Edward Gender: Female Where born: St George in The East, Middlesex, England Civil Parish: Mile End Old Town Ecclesiastical parish: St Dunstan Town: Mile End Old Town County/Island: London Country: England Registration district: Mile End Old Town Sub-registration district: Mile End Old Town, Eastern ED, institution, or vessel: 35 Neighbors: View others on page Household schedule number: 157 Household Members: Name Age Edward Hull 28 Emily Hull 9 months George Hull 3 Mary A Hull 22 George Mitchell 20 Angela Actually, probably not, George Mitchell is brother-in-law - ignore!!

Hi Glitter Baby My gr grandmother did have a sister Mary Ann Hopper who was born in 1849 which would make her about 16 if she married in 1865. I have trawled the 1871 census but can't find a Mary Ann married to an Edward Hall who possibly fits her birth year and birthplace. Many thanks for your help Maureen

Marriages Sep 1865 (>99%) Hall Edward Mile End 1c 1157 Hall Jane Mile End 1c 1157 Hopper Mary Ann Mile End 1c 1157 Walker Isaac Mile End 1c 1157 Could the witness be her sister Mary Ann - especially given that Susannah married in qtr4 1865 Maureen

Hi Julie Thanks for the 2 possibilities.A pity it is too early for ages to be given. I think I will send for one and see what it reveals and hope it is the right one. I can't find a death for Isabella so wonder if she re-married. Will look into it. Best wishes Maureen

Hi If anybody can help find them after 1861, on a later census or a possible death for them it would be much appreciated. Maureen Thomas Hopper born c1805 Chatham and wife Isabella born c1808 either Halifax or Scarborough had 5 children born between 1839 and 1852 at Limehouse, Middlesex. Their daughter Susannah Isabella Hopper (gr grandmother) married in Stepney in 1865. Residence just given as Stepney. It does not state that her father Thomas was deceased but that doesn't necessarily mean that he was still alive. Witnesses were Edward and Mary Ann Hall. Not known who these people were.
