adoption advice

is it poss for me to find details of an adoption from 1925-1930. gt gt aunt adopted daughter who died age 5 in 1930.any advice on how to would be great, not something i have come across before. i have managed to find death details and ordered cert, is it likely to have any info on about her last name .

Formal adoption didn't start until 1927, so it depends on exactly when it was as to whether there will be any records. I'm afraid I don't know enough about adoption myself to be of any help. Kath. x

Jennifer If you have ordered the death cert, this will not have any information on it regarding her birth parents - only her adoptive parents (unless she was not formally adopted, but even then, still unlikely) OC
