Some registry offices have got their own online search for BMD so it is always worth looking on google, if you are interested in the north of england try northeast site, their are links on the site to most offices in the north (yorkshire, cheshire, lancashire, these sites give you the spouses name for marriages http://www.nebmd.*co.*uk/ for darlington, redcar, middlesbrough, stocton, hartlepool try http://www.teesvalley-indexes.*co.*uk/index.php remove * from address Roy

ukbmd is also free Coverage by individual counties is patchy......Lancs and Yorks are not bad........North Wales is quite good. Reg
