Reg That was my first thought but the oldest daughter was Martha Hicks (Mary's daughter out of wedlock) born 1840, else next daughter was Elizabeth born 1850, is it likely they would be sent away to have child at age 12/13 years in Elizabeth's case? Joanna

Any of William and Mary's children could be her parent........ I would suggest that as her birth was probably in London......ref 1871.......that one of the daughters had her out of wedlock. Just a 'gut' feeling........... Reg

Help required I have Clara Bennett age 8 years old in 1871 Cenus Living with Grandparents William and Mary in Great Rollright in Oxfordshire in 1881 she is a servant in London. I can not find her birth in the indexs. She marries(or not as cant find marriage) George Hardiman and has May Hardiman and Bessie Hardiman. Bessie is born 24/06/1897 according to her death, but cant not find birth of Bessie or May, help as can not find birth or marriages thus hard to definitely say am following correct line. Can not find her after 1881 Census any help please for look-up in 1891 and 1901 Cenus please Any help or ideas on other sources please please Thanks Joanna
