hi kath, this is what i have john covell drury according to his coroners report and death cert he would have been born 1891? he was identified by his father robert-- a labourer. they lived in blyth northumberland. i can not find his birth reg. dont know where he was born. my great grandfather was herbert philip drury born 1893 norfolk (no father mother eliza) but later moved to blyth -- dont know when. i was told they became step brothers or half brothers but i cannot find a marriage between eliza drury and robert covell. john was my great grandmothers first husband but were not living together when he died. she then married herbert philip drury two years later. i have both marriage certs. i have been given some info from the 1901 census but ages do not tie in although i know they are not always exact and the mother is elizabeth not eliza. john uses his full name on marriage cert but drops drury on a childs birth cert his full name is again used on coroners report. on his marriage cert witness is philip herbert drury. did herbert philip change his names around ? trying to find the connection between drury and covell is doing my head in. i hope you can make sense of this. thanks dawn
