Also be aware that many Hospitals disposed of newborn, dead infants,and those who died shortly after birth, and there may be no record of this at all. OC |

Burial places aren't mentioned on a death certificate. If he died in St Marys hospital I know it covers Portsmouth and surrounding areas of Hampshire too. Be guided by the home address of the parents. The burial place is likely to be nearby. The staff at the cemeteries office will probably be able to help you, within a few days,if it was a Portsmouth city burial - once you can give them the details from the certificate. If you contact Portsmouth cemeteries office...you can do this online, .... and give relevant information, they will probably be able to tell you the location of the baby's grave. Gwyn |

John Lock born July 1934 lived two hours in St Marys Hospital would he have been registered also buried ??? William Richard Lavender died 1907 buried In Highland Rd Cemetory he was a marine Edmund McDowell died 1925 in the Royal Hospital how can I find out if he was still in the Navy Many Thanks Joyce |
