Alice is Martha's mother not Frederick's. On later census' he gives St lukes Middlesex as his place of birth. He married again in 1858 to Hannah Healey. I know a lot about his later years, its just his origins which are unclear. Thanks.

Pam, Where does Frederick give as his place of birth on later census. Just confused about the entry for Alice on 1851 showing as mother. Image does look like age 73, which seems a bit old, and I think birthplace could be Brownhills Staff. Opps age of Alice is 78 - and now I have checked the image I have absolutely no idea where Frederick is born Maureen

Yep that is him with his first wife, I have their marriage certificate but know little about his parents beyond what it says on his marriage certificate. I have looked at the 1841 but am hoping that a new pair of eyes and an inquisitive brain may suceed where I have failed.

I am trying to locate Frederick Padwick born 1824/5 St Lukes district London, Middx. His Father (from marriage certificate) was William Padwick but I do not know his mother's name.I have him from 1848 onwards, but need to breach the gap!!! Thank you.
