If anybody is visiting the Kirkham/Greenalgh parish records i would be very grateful if they could check my Worthington clan did originate from there. I have James Worthington born possibly Kirkham/Greenalgh, he married Betty/Elizabeth Arkwright from Cockerham on 2nd October 1827 at the Holy Trinity in Bolton-le-sands, but he's not on the open parish clerk records as born there, i've checked census but there are quite a few, but i've got him at scotforth where his children were born in 1841 then Stodday with Ashton which is close in the 1851/1861 census stating Kirkham, but i can't get any further without i supose getting his marriage certificate..but if there is anybody in that area it would be such a great help.... kind regards angela |
