Greenwich Burial Records Please ??

Hi, has anyone got the burial records for Greenwich in 1866 please.I dont know which cemetery to look for, I would like info for Matilda Whitehead died Sep qt 1866 in Greenwich. Many thanks for any help Regards Sheila |

Sheila ,having come from Charlton SE London which is very near Greenwich, and having many rellies born in Greenwich I know there are many old churches in the area . its a big place and stretches a way . Your best bet would be to get the death cert and see what address she was at then contact the Parks & Cemeteries Dept of Greenwich Council giving them all the info off the cert they may then be able to find the burial place for you if it was a municipal cemetery. Of course way back then she may have been buried in a local church cemetary so you do need that cert to point the way. Shirley |
