Have a look at this site which will explain about registration in the Isle of Man. Have you found them in census? http://www.isle-of-man(.)com/interests/genealogy/sources(.)htm remove the brackets

I am trying to check if Jane Skillcorn born 1838 and christened at Lonan Isle of man was the wife (who I know is called Jane) of William Cain born 1848. I have checked the IGI but can't seem to get any further forward without the marriage certificate. Can anyone advise me if there is another way I can verify this info? Thanks Dianne
