Find Ancestors

Hi I am new to this but I would dearly love to find my nan's Birth certificate.. all I know is that her name was Angela Joan Atherden she was born on 8th August 1916. and she Died on 2nd nov 1990 but by then she was lnown by her married name of Clarke. and from what I have been told her Mother's name was Lillian Atherden, . Dob unknown, Father Unknown. if anyone could help I would truly gratefull. Kate Update Thankyou everyone for taking the time to help me... The Lillain Atherden Mentioned was not my great Grandmother. but I have manage to dig up from paper work and with a lot of patience I managed to confirm my Nan's maiden was Angela Joan Atherden via documentation of my deceased uncle Peter William Reginald Atherden born in Lambeth from his birth record on line. But I have been told that Lillian (My Great Grand Mother)could have obtained the Name Atherden via Marriage... So I am in the process of sending off for a full birth certificate of my Deceased uncle's, where hopefully there it will have My nan's place of birth and hopefully then I can go further down the line from there.. to finaly find my Nan's birth record. thankyou you so much for all your help...

I have had a quick look and can't find a birth for that name in either 1915, 1916 or 1917. If you are taking the date of birth from the death certificate, the age on these is sometimes wrong.
