Hi all, thanks for trying to help,I am Fardon lol! its my tree! It was John Sanders 1781 and Temperance Collis 1786 who had James Sanders born 1822 at Ashbourne ,Derbyshire, son. Sarah Sanders (watkinson ) is James wife. they lived at Nottingham St marys. Later on the 1881 census I have James as a boarder living at Lancashire and a Lewis P Sanders born 1845 also a boarder but apart from being born in France Calais and a boarder at Lancashire I cannot find any more records of him .I am trying to find out the relationship between James and Lewis? Lewis is a mystery to me ,but I have an inkling its something to do with the lace trade? thanks Suz.

No Sorry.... and I'm quite confused as on an earlier census, 1861, James and wife Sarah are living with Temperance who is entered as his mother. But on 1841 she is with?husband James (a mariner) which may account for the Calais bit, but no son James....but he could have left home? Sorry if you already have all this . Alf Not sure if that makes sense, ignore me...I think I'm getting my James's in a muddle...She wouldn't have had two sons called James.
