Hello, sorry to be a nuisance, does anyone have access to the 1900 New York census please. I'm trying to find my what happened to my gggg grandparents Stephen Cassidy born Ireland 1844, wife Bridget born Durham 1857, last address found 1891 census Framwellgate Durham UK. A couple of kind members (Juliet & Julie) have already tried helping me, but can't find any trace of them from 1891 census onwards, apart from a couple with the same names, similar ages, showing on the 1900 New York Manhattan census. Any help would be much appreciated. Rosie

Thanks very much for your help Juliet. I'm also inclined to believe the Sarah, Julie found is the correct one too. And yes, it came up on my matches on Ancestry about the 1900 New York census but I discounted it, but I realise now that it is a possibility, I'll have to investigate further. Kind regards Rosie

Have been looking all over 1901 and can find nothing. I agree with Julie on Sarah A. in Blackpool. I have checked the deaths for the years 1891 to 1901 and can't find Stephen. What I did find was there was a Stephen and Bridget on the 1900 census for New York with roughly the same ages but I can't go further with that. Though why they would leave a 14 year old daughter I can't imagine. Maybe someone with access can check that out. Sorry I can't help further. Good Luck. Juliet

Thanks very much Julie, I really appreciate your help. I'm confused now though, because as I said, I found them on the 1881 census with daughter Margaret (born 1878) daughter Catherine my ggg grandmother - (born 1879) and then Sarah A shows up on the 1891 census (born 1882) Perhaps this is a different Cassidy family alltogther? Strange coincidence though, that 2 of the daughters have the same names I'm researching, and from the same area.
