Find Ancestors

Hi could anyone please help with a search for a Peter Drysdale or could be known as Peter Cockburn or Peter Cockburn Drysdale. I have found a death for him in 1893 Manchester age 43 so presumably birth c 1850 and marriage c 1875. His son Edward was born 1879 so maybe the 1881, 1891 census would show the two of them. Earlier census 1871, 61 and 51 he would prob be with his parents but I don't have any info on these. Any help would be fantastic. Thanks. Carolyn

The only Edward Drysdale on 1891 who was born c1879 has parents James and Eliza Where was he born? Was his birth registered under the name Drysdale? Reg

I think you need the death cert, to find out if the informant was a relative......... I can't see any results anywhere to connect an Edward Drysdale with a father called Peter........have you got Edward's birth cert? Reg

Hi Reggie Thank you. I don't know where he was born. All I have his his son's marriage cert saying Peter Drysdale deceased and a death for a Peter Cockburn Drysdale in Manchester 1893. Family knew that the Cockburn had been dropped leter , so presumably it was on his birth. I think it may be a Scottish name. Carolyn
