In 1881 Trueman Brown in 44 and is born Kilnsey. There is a birth for him in IGI 1836 Conistone in Craven. There is a Conistone within a stones throw of Kilnsey but the 'in Craven' is no longer part of the name. As Craven is a district around Skipton this is all possible. Skipton is the district for Trueman's marriage in 1857 to Jane Watson who also gives Coniston as her birth place and IGI has a correct birth for her. All this is fine but Trueman’s parents in IGI are William and Mary Brown. As a name, William Brown must come close to ‘John Smith’! However I have not seen another Trueman so if he is with his parents age 14 in the 1851 hopefully William is still alive with an age and date of birth.
