birth record of michael taylor

hi, can anyone help me please. How do i find a birth record of my mums cousin, if i only have his parents names..??? his name is michael Taylor born england around 1930 or so. he had two sisters dawn taylor and audrey taylor.. the parents were john taylor born 1894 and constance taylor dob unknown. the census is not avail for this time and i dont know where to look. i have credits but not sure where to use them, with his search. thankyou please help marie hawkins

The only way to find a birth registration is to search the BMD indexes. The only problem you have is that there are likely to be hundreds of Michael Taylors. Do you know his mum's maiden name as this may help to narrow it down. Sam x

thanks sam for your quick reply. i only know that his mums christian name constance and do not have their wed cert either...im at loose ends... how do i get a marrriage cert without a year??? im hitting deadends all round. any ideas for me. marie

Do you have any idea where they married? Again, you would need to search the marriage indexes but with a name like John Taylor there is likely to be more than one marrying a Constance! Do you know when either of Michael's sisters were born? If you can find all three of them with the same mother's maiden name it may be a start. Unfortunately there is no easy way, it is a case of trawling through the GRO indexes. Sam x

Marie You don't need to use up credits of any sort to search the bmd index. All the info is free on Ancestry..........just register with the site, and access the FULL records.........ignore any which include the word freebmd Reg

Do you have any info about this man? Do you know when he died.........who he married, and when..............even where he lived? I assume he is not alive...........or you'd be able to ask him...........lol! Reg
