My great grandfather was James Francis born 1873 in worcester. He married Sarah Tyler in Worcester 1893. I would be interested to find what details the 1901 census offers for them as a couple and any previous census info on them seperately that could be found. I think James parents were George and Hannah Francis but i have nothing to confirm this. I would be really greatful for any help. Thanks Tracy |

Thankyou, it sounds like the right one. I have been told he worked on the river so that fits and gives me an area to work with. Now i have an age for sarah and know she was born in worcester i can begin to fill in more details. Thanks again for the help Tracy |

1891 there are several possibles for Sarah but without knowing the name of father from the marriage cert it could mean you followed the wrong family Sometimes the places of birth on census are completely wrong as the family quite often put where they are living as their birthplace |

Thankyou, this would appear to confirm James parents and help naming siblings. I now have more to go on and look for. I will try and find the marriage on the parish records or buy the certificate now you've helped give me more details. Having these extra details is really big help to me and has narrowed down an area to search. Thankyou so much for helping me Tracy |
