If you go onto the National Archives of Australia www.naa(.)gov(.)au remove brackets. on the first page select record search, then search as a guest, put his name in and it will bring his record up - luckily it has been opened and you read all 24 pages of his army record Jane

Does anyone know how I go about trying to locate Army Records for someone who was born in England but went to Australia and according to the Marriage Certificate for his son was an Officer in the Australian Army. His name was Harry Wiliam Thornley and died before 1937.
