Can anyone find Thomas Jordan born 1862 newcastle area, may still be in area of Northumberland or Durham, may have a daughter Alice age about 7 born Gateshead Durham. Wife may have died, not a lot to go on but worth a try. Thanks Kathy

I take it you don't have either the marriage cert........or Alice's birth cert.......... Do you know that he would have been alive in 1901? Could he have been involved in the Boer War? Sorry about all the questions.......just thinking aloud........ Reg

Hi Reg, I have the parish record for Alice's baptism, 1893 Gateshead, father Thomas, a Barman, mother Jane. There are 2 marriages online for the area, one in 1891 Tynemouth, the other 1891 Newcastle. The Newcastle marriage I thought might have been the one, reason's, he was liveing with his brother, my ggrandfather william in 1891,who was a pub landlord in newcastle. There is marriage of a Thomas marring Jane Ellen Liddle in newcastle. Williams wife was Annie Elizabeth Liddle, just thought they could have married 2 sisters. Need a bit more research yet I think.
