I am looking for info on Elizabeth Antliffe, it was her 3rd marriage and can't find any info on this one at all. Her 2nd marriage was our gt grandad Richard Cottam and her first marriage was William Morris. Can anyone help please.

Tat would be the marriage; as on the 1901 census Richard and Elizabeth are in Preston with stepdaughter age 11 and a new family. There is a marriage on freebmd for Dec 1909 Preston but only one male spouse. Joan

If it is the first one, how does the stedaughter age 11 months, born ca. 1900, fit in with marriage in 1893???????????????????? especially as James is only 9 months old??????????? Is Elizabeth, stepdaughter, actually a granddaughter, ie daughter of Elizabeth's child by her first matriage??

Hi Sylvia, I would say the first as there is a Morris chld. The transcription says she is 11 months but the image says stepdaughter 11 years. Joan

I can't see a Richard Cottam death in Preston of the right age on freebmd from 1901 to 1915. This means that he must have died after that. Therefore any marriage of Elizabeth will also be after that, and will need searching the Complete Index on ancestry, quarter by quarter, year by year. That's free so Carolyn could do it herself, if she has not already done that search.

How are we spelling the third husbands name? Antlciffe or Anliffe Or some other way ! Joan
