William T Elliott 1862 Stanhope Durham.occ limestone quarryman. Can someone check the image and see if the middle initial could be a J. Thanks

I would say it could quite possibly be a J....,comparing it with the J of John. It doesn't look the same as the T of Thomas on the next page. Gwyn

I've been staring at it, Margaret, but I can't say one way or the other. It looks like the J in John but not like the one in Jane. Then again it looks like the J in the next Jane. How's that for a definite answer? Margaret

Thanks everyone. I have a William James Elliott of the correct age. Cant find a William T Elliott so think it must be him.
