Find Ancestors

Please help. I researched a part of this family last year but unfortunately I've lost all the information I found. So I've started again from scratch. I'm looking for the parent's of William James Mullane born 23rd September 1914 in Medway, Kent. Mother's maiden name is Butler. I am trying to find the marriage between a Butler and a Mullane. I know I have found this information before but as I've said I've lost all my information somewhere. The only thing I have found is a census record from 1881 and 1891 of William's mother's parents. Henry and Louisa Butler. They had four daughters Rosetta, Kate, Ellen and Grace, one of them is William's mum but I can't find a marriage between a Butler and Mullane. I know it's out there as I have found it before. So any help in finding this marriage would be very grateful. Many thanks, best wishes.

Do you know William's parent's names? If not, how do you know his mother's parents names? I think, I'm pretty sure he was named after the dad and that the dad is called William Mullane. I know he was born in Ireland. Many thanks.
