Reggie I have just been on the familysearch site and I found the entry which had John's christening. From there how did you find out that he had a brother?

Gemma The IGI is free to all............just go to www.familysearch.org It is far from complete, and some of the info it contains is not accurate.......so treat it with caution. 'Extracted' records (from parish registers) are generally more reliable than 'member submitted' info. Reg

I am trying to find out who the parents were of John Loader (b. 1849) in Godalming, Surrey. I can find him in the 1861 and 1871 census living with his Uncle Charles Loader/Lodder (b. 1808) in Godalming Surrey, and his aunt (Charles' sister) Charlotte Hammond/Hammon (b. 1809) in Godalming Surrey. However I have had no luck in tracing his father or mother, and I also cannot find the parents of Charles and Charlotte. Although in the 1841 census I can find a Charlotte Hammond and a George Hammond living in Godalming with various people including James Lowder (b. 1781) and Jamima Lowder (b. 1771), but because of their DOB's I was not sure if they were too old to be Charlotte's parents?? Any help or advice would be most welcome. Many thanks, Gemma.
