The biggest snag with this wretched series is that it gives the impression that all the info can be found in no time flat!!!!!! We'll be swamped again............ Reg

Thats a shame. So its not blood family he's searching. Would have been nice to see Irish research done on it. Maybe he will connect with my Campbell instead!!

Mark No, the Nicky Campbell one is a special edition and will trace his ADOPTIVE family, not his birth family. He has stated he doesnt have the slightest interest in his birth family. It is being done to promote Adoption. Seems a bit odd and unnecessary, to me! (The promotion, I mean) OC

I remember reading somewhere that Nicky Campbells real grandfather was in the I.R.A. Maybe his Irish roots will be on it.

Thanks Mark for that. It's the first I've heard about the new WDYTYA series and already I'm looking forward to it! Will try and remember to watch Nicky Campbell next week too. Best wishes, Beryl

Who Do You Think You Are the BBC TV Family History Series 4 is due in September. However, next week Wednesday 11th July there is to be a WDYTYA special about Nicky Campbell the radio and television presenter. This is a one-off as part of an upcoming BBC campaign on adoption. Nicky was adopted when four days old. Those of you with brick-walls of a similar nature might find this programme useful in your own research. The new series will feature Natasha Kaplinsky Carol Vorderman Matthew Pinsent Graham Norton John Hurt Alistair McGowan Boris Johnson I can see immediately that we will be going abroad again with Natasha and Carol and over the Irish sea with Graham, and up to Scotland with Alistair :o) The BBC have put a short clip of Matthew Pinsent describing his WDYTYA journey on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bMSar_PTYSs
