If they can't help, they could probably point you in the right direction. http://calgarypubliclibrary.com/ You could also try contacting the Alberta Family History Society: http://www.afhs.ab.ca/. I believe death certificates are available up to 1986 in Canada, and British Columbia info is on line - can't find Alberta's though.

Member Since: October 2003 Posts: 914 Send Message	I understand that memorial inscriptions from Union Cemetery are available in the Local History Room of Calgary Public Library. My great aunt and uncle are interred in Union Cemetery - I have the exact reference, but I'm looking basically for the date of his death, probably in the 1940s, because I don't think it was long enough ago for me to get a copy death certificate. Anyone help or advise? Thanks Sheila
