I need to do birth lookups for about 8-10 ppl all born in Ireland. Does anyone know of any websites where I can have a look? Cheers in advance Colette

Hi Colette. You can try this site. Not all of the counties are transcribed yet, but if you keep checking back, I'm sure they will all be included eventually. http://www.irishgenealogy.ie/csi/csi_main.cfm

Brilliant. Brilliant. Brilliant! Have just found the record of my 4xgreat granparents marriage from 1823! Had given up all hope of find any pre famine info on them, had even considered fying to Eire and hunting the graveyards for some clue. Have just ordered the full entry from Leitrim Genealogy centre for 14 pounds 50. Still bit pricey, but I'm over the moon with finding it, touch wood I shall soon know which parish they were from and maybe even their parents names! Thank you for posting this link, I had no idea of the sites existence.

Glad I could help Richard. I also found a gem on that site. My mum's nanny had no idea when or where she was born (but knew which county she was from) - I was able to find both her birth record and her parent's marriage. Hope the site is of some use to Colette.
