Hi all Have also thought she might have walked out for some reason. Will look at that death Val although Gateshead is a reg district in its own right I guess she could have been away somewhere. I'm not sure I'll ever find out what happened to her. Thanks to everyone who has looked - least I know its not me just missing her. Jacqui |

Hi Val i was wondering that after the birth of her last child in 1862 she and her husband just decided to seperate or maybe she walked out and left him for this other man, could this be a possibility? Kaz |

Hi I thought of she might have remarried but Jacqui says that she has her Joseph in the 1871 census... I have tried all different names such as Sowery, Dowery etc haven't found her. Val |

Any super sleuths out there who can find out what happened to Margaret Lowrey/Lowery after 1862 please? For info: 1820 Margaret Howe born Auckland, Co Durham 1846 married Joseph Lowrey in Auckland 1849 Dau Ann born in Elswick, Newcastle 1851 living in Elswick 1861 living in Gateshead 1862 son Joseph born 1871 Joseph snr and children in Gateshead. 1873 Joseph dies 1881 Joseph jnr living Gateshead with now married sister Ann 1891 Joseph jnr in Gateshead with now widowed sister Ann 1901 Joseph jnr now married with wife Joseph snr is down as married on 1871 census but I can find no trace of Margaret on census or death registers after birth of son in 1862 Thanks for reading and any help Jacqui |
