Thank you all for your advice. Kaz I think I shall have to take a look at that Louise, she must be related as mine were the only Ricksons in Lewes at that time. Many thanks again Regards Diane

She could have married much later than 1920, or she might never have married and died anytime up to 1990 ish!!

If you could contact Lewes records office directly, they will have records for the workhouse. It may be that she didn't marry, and stayed in the workhouse. Roll on the 1911 census!

I am trying to find out what happened to Louisa Rickson born Lewes 1890. In 1901 she was in Lewes Union Workhouse with her three brothers. The younger brothers went to live with family relatives in Kent, but I cannot trace Louisa. I have trawled through marriages and deaths on ancestry from 1901 until 1920 but can find no trace of her. How can I find out if she went overseas? Any advice gratefully received. Regards Diane
