Was it, in 1899 compulsory to give your full name in your marriage. Im looking for Thomas Herbert Gray but i cant find a marriage or death for him. I think i have found him in 1901 living with his wife and 3year daughter and his sister-in-law a Miss Liddle. I have found the marriage between a Gray and Liddle but it is only down as Thomas not Thomas H..can anyone help? Thanks Alison.

Alison you did not have to give your middle name when you married, I have quite a few rellies who didn't bother with their middle names. Georgina.

Have you checked to see if the wife's information matches her as a LIDDLE in 1891? Gwyn
