Yay - findmypast has added the next decade of passenger lists from 1920-29 and I was able to find when my grandfather and his mother sailed to Melbourne in 1923. My mother told me they went there but his mother didn't like it and they came home again... so my next search is for when they came back - which might be 1923 or 1924. Has anyone got access to passenger lists for people leaving Victoria around that time? Alex

There's hardly anything online from Australia to England as far as I know. You could try the passenger lists on Ancestry. This site has ships leaving Victoria from 1852-1876, and it will eventually go up to 1923: http://proarchives.imagineering*com.au/index_search.asp?searchid=42 (replace asterisk with dot)
