I wondered about Emma being 9 years older than William so checked the 1851 census. I believe this is them? 1851 census St. Pancras, London William Giles, head, 30, shoemaker Emma, wife, 32, shoe binder James, son, 11, sewer Edward L., son, 8, scholar Ann, dau, 6, scholar Elizabeth, dau, 4, scholar All born Ipswich, Suffolk |

If you get the birth certificate of one of her children, it will give her maiden name. Have you found the family on the census - if so can you give a reference |

I am trying to find the maiden name of Emma Giles born 1812 she was married to William Giles born 1821, she was a shoe binder he was a shoe maker. They lived in St pancreas London had 4 children ??. my great great grandmother Elizabeth Giles born1847 was one of the children. I believe Emma was born in Ipswich Suffolk Patricia |
