Hi I am trying to trace my ancestors from the Whitehead side of my family and I am totally stuck! I am trying to trace George Whitehead (b. 1824 in Loughborough I think). He married a lady named Elizabeth Winfield (b. 1823) and they were married in Nottingham in 1848. They had 5 children that I know of: George (b.1851) Charles (b.1855) Emma (b.1856) John (b.1864) Sarah (b.1864) I obtained the marriage certificate of George and found out that his father was also called George. However I am now totally stuck and cannot trace his mother or any siblings. I also found in the 1871 census that Williams Fawkes was living with the family. He was George's nephew but I have no idea from which side of the family. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks Gemma.
