I am trying to find a soldier who was in Dorchester in the winter 1917. He was from Norway and called Olaf Hanson. My problem is where do I start looking to find him. Has anyone got any ideas. I called the sally army and they said call CWGC. Though I am not sure how they can help. I believe he would of been born somewhere between 1895-1901ish. Has anyone got any good ideas please. The CWGC covers only Commonwealth subjects......so even if he died in the War, there will be no record there. You could try the Norwegian Embassy......... Reg |
