Sophie, Thanks for continuing to look, I've just noticed the thread was still 'alive'. The Thomas you found was born in Hanley. Mine was born in Salford. It was his brother, Francis, that was born in Hanley. The family were from Salford. The death of Thomas, age and location, ties in. Thanks again though. Cheers, Simon.

Thanks all, I suspect Thomas died in 1881. I now have some trade directories for Manchester that I need to follow to find out about the printing business. Thanks again, Simon.

Hi all, I'm looking for any information regarding two brothers in the 1901 census. They are Francis (Frank) E Wilkinson b 1872 Hanley, Staffordshire, probably living Salford or Manchester, and his brother Thomas Wilkinson b 1875 b Salford probably living Salford or Manchester. If their are details of their occupations that would be great. I wonder if Frank inherited the family printing business. Thanks in advance, Sion.
