To search an ER for the year you refer to, you need to know the address...........they are not indexed by name. Why don't you try friendsreunited? Or post a message on the 'lost touch' pages on C4 text............... Reg

Its an unusual name - have you tried the phone directory site just to see if he is still in that area - or whether any other people of the same surname there can help find him? Ive added to your other thread - just to say on B4u search there is a David S Laycock still living in Selby - I still think you could get the phone directory and ring a few people with the same name (I think this chap may be ex directory).

Hi Kath, yes, I know I think I really need an Electoral Register for about 1984 for Selby to see if I can find an address for his Parents - will see if anyone has access to one. Thanks for looking Stephanie

There is no David Laycock with mother's name Bell registered in either 1958, 1959, 1960, 1961 or 1962, on the complete index on Ancestry. Finding his birth reference won't really help you find him now. Kath. x

Hello, Does anyone have access to any birth records for Selby, North Yorkshire? Im trying to find my cousin, David Laycock, son of Peter and Lillius Laycock. I dont know when he was born, but I think it was around 1960 - Is anyone able to help me find him? or more information on him? Thanks for your help Stephanie
