But the problem is that you want to find Henry and Theresa in the 1901 census - and unless you have the 1902 birth certificate you are not going to know if you have the right family.

HI ELAINE ACORDING TO HENRY WILLIAM WAIT,S MILITARY DEATH RECORD HIS PARENTS ARE LISTED AS BEING HENRY AND THERESA HE DIED IN 1941 AGED 39 SO THAT SHOULD MAKE HIM BORN 1902 AS YOU FOUND ON HIS BIRTH RECORD....

Elaine

Elaine Report 24 Jun 2007 15:03

Well unless you want to wait for the 1911 census then its going to be difficult to prove who the parents are. There is no marriage for a Henry Wait to a Theresa/Teresa showing on freeBMD:

THANKS ELIANE I KNOW IF I BUY THE BIRTH CERT IT WILL GIVE ME MOTHERS MAIDEN NAME BUT IF I BOUGHT CERTS FOR EVERYONE I WOULD HAVE TO WIN THE LOTTERY.............................................

Elaine

Elaine Report 24 Jun 2007 13:48

Then I would suggest you get his birth certificate as this will give mother´s maiden name, which will help find the marriage of his parents and also help find them on the 1901 census.
