Don't suppose you have tried searching with a varition on the spellings at all? I have a few family members whose surnames are actually nothing like what they should be! Amy |

in the 1861 census i have found ELLEN MEARS c1831 Kent, england. she was residing with her two sons JOHN MEARS c1846 Lambeth, England and GEORGE MEARS c 1849 Lambeth, England. i cannot find her on any other census or a husband...who would have been a MEARS, even on the 1851 i cannot find anything, i know it would have meant that she was very young when she had John. any help would be great Regards Michelle |
