Hi Julie, These are the ages given for Eleanor on the 3 Census's. 1881 - aged 24 1891 - aged 34 1901 - aged 44 The year of her birth could be about 1856 or 1857 depending on the month she was born. Thanks - Genevieve

Hi Genevieve On the 3 census do they all state being born in 1856 Brixton comes under Lambeth's Registration District Julie

Hi Genevieve, Have found an Eleanor Hardy born June 1856 Flexham ( which is near Bognor, Chichester) 10B 202 Will see if I can find her on the census. Regards Vera

could this be her? my nana is eleanor but gets ellen. ellen hardy born 1856-- poplar, greater london , middlesex. j/a/s quarter vol. 1c page 561. you would have to get certificate to show fathers name.

I have come up against a brick wall with my relative Eleanor Hardy, can anyone please offer any suggestions ? I have got Eleanor's Marriage Certificate. She married Thomas Warman in 1877 in Camberwell, Surrey, England. Her father is listed as William and his occupation is a gardener. Have found Eleanor on the following Census - 1881 - states she was born in Lambeth 1891 - states she was born in Brixton, Surrey 1901 - states she was born in Brixton, London Eleanor was born in about 1856 (can't find a record of her birth) and died in 1908 in Stratford, London. Prior to the 1881 Census I cannot find her anywhere. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Genevieve
