Your Peter? http://www.geocities*com/glogoncousins/stories/neverka.htm 'An Excerpt from “Prairie Grass to Golden Grain” The Rosenzweig and Neverka Story By Mike Rosenzweig' 'This story begins as told to me by my grandparents, Peter and Barbara (Oberding) Neverka who left their home in Glogon, Austria, and settled on a homestead in 1904, one and one half miles west of where the village of Horizon was later established. ...The same night, we three boys played a trick on Peter Grund. In those days, there were outdoor toilets. Just the objects to create some Halloween mischief. We moved the toilet to the back of the home and quickly disappeared. Next day at school, we heard that Mr. Grund, upon visiting the toilet, fell in the hole. He was not in the best of humor over this ordeal, but he never found out who did it...'

Could this be the family in 1911? 46 15 Grunt Peter M Head M Sep 1868 43 47 15 Grunt Annie F Wife M Sep 1874 36 48 15 Grunt Peter M Son S Aug 1894 17 49 15 Grunt Annie F Daughter S Sep 1899 13 50 15 Grunt ? M Son S Nov 1903 7 1 15 Grunt George M Son S Oct 1905 6 2 15 Grunt Ela F Daughter S Jun 1907 4 The years may be 'off' by a year or so - almost all of my ancestors' dates are off by one year. http://www*automatedgenealogy*com/index.html (replace * with .) You can also view the actual images - George and Ela are on a separate page. PS This was on the bottom of the above record: Line 46: Peter Grund (b 1868, Hungary) homesteaded NW 10-24-24 W2. Moved to Horizon, Sask. in 1923. Source: Penzance Prairie Profiles, p. 10 & 110 (note added by: [name removed - please see original record, as it is an address]) In household 15 the enumerator recorded the surname as 'Grunt', a suggested alternative is 'Grund'. The following source(s) support this alternative: 'Penzance Prairie Profiles, Penzance Historical Society, 1982, ISBN 0-919533-12-4, p. 10, 110.'. The following comment was attached to this surname note: 'The Grund family homesteaded the land described in the census in 1908 and remained there till 1923.'.

Hello Would be most grateful if someone has acess to these records if they could look up the birth of 2 brothers (parents are Peter and Anna): Max (Mathias) GRUND most likely in Regina c1905 and George GRUND also likely to be in Regina. I believe Max married a Elizabeth NAGY in 1924 place? Unsure who George married. I know that Peter and Anna arrived in Regina in 1904 as I have their passenger record but have not been able to find them on any census. With thanks Danielle
