genesreunited census-what is it like?

Don't even think about buying GR units........ ALL bmd's for England/Wales are FREE on Ancestry. 1881 census is free on both Ancestry and LDS site. And GR members are always willing to do lookups on the others.......... Reg

The only census held by GR, is the 1901, which they now own. For all other census records and BMDs, GR takes yer money and redirects you to another site, which you could access directly without their intervention, and a lot cheaper. OC

1881 census is free on family search and Ancestry has a free 3 day offer at the mo. Apart from that theres loads of peeps who have Ancestry that will do look ups for you .BMD,s are free to search anyway on Ancestry and FreeBMD

NO, NO and NO Do not buy any units from GR for census records as it is very expensive. Maureen

Does anyone know what the census search is like on genesreunited. Do they have complete census records for every year and complete BMD.
