thx kath,i have looked at that one, no william he would off been 21 so i suppose he could off left home or working away but then he appears again in 1901. sam!

yes thats them. but its william thats confusing me cas i have no record of a william abbott. in the 1901 census he is down as been a visitor along with a annie abbott(could be his wife). i maybe just missed it . thanks kathleen. sam!

may be but thomas(father)was born in leyburn north yorkshire. sry cant find them in 1881.

thanks kathleen. i think i found them in 1901 cencus but its a bit confusing as it says his father thomas was born in 1869 which cant be right as thomas jr was born 1872 and there seems to be two more abbotts in the cencus that i dont have in my tree and cant seem to work out from dates where they would fit in. its really confusing me now!!!!!! many thx sam!

This looks like his birth reference (it's the only one registered in Darlington at the right time:- Thomas Abbott Sept. qtr. 1871, Darlington, 10a, 15 You could always give his parent's names as a checking point (but only if you are certain of them). Makle sure you spell the mother's name correctly - Frances rather than Francis. As for the marriage and death, it is just a matter of searching the complete indexes at about the time you think he married or died. If you have no idea of dates then it will be more difficult, as although he was born in Darlington, he could have married or died anywhere. Kath. x

i.m trying to find details off a one thomas abbott.birth,marriage,death. he was born 1872 in darlington, parents names were thomas 1849 and francis(nee dickinson)1850. have found him in cencus but not births marr ect::: would like to make sure i have the right rellie. many thanks for any help ...... kind regaurds sam!
